Augmentative and Alternative Communication, or AAC, covers a wide range of tools and strategies that help people communicate when speaking or writing is difficult. AAC can support children and adults with developmental disabilities such as autism or cerebral palsy, as well as people who experience communication challenges after a stroke or brain injury.
